Presentation and Workshop 1.00pm - 4.30pm @ Whanganui Camera Club rooms, 2 Handley Street, Whanganui - $20 per person
"Unique perspectives of aerial photography"with Petra Leary - 1.00pm Petra's an award winning aerial photographer based in Auckland, New Zealand.
Petra’s passion and eye for aerial photography is largely influenced from a graphic design background with a big focus on geometry, pattern, and negative space. Petra’s work is heavily defined by her use of top down images, with an emphasis on perfectly straight angles / lines.
Her love for skateboarding, video games and basketball can often be found in Petra’s photography. Taking images of normal activities from a not so normal perspective, while applying an obsession for balance and perfect angles create a very graphic end piece.
“Primary Challenge” Workshop with Simon Woolf - 2.00pm to 4.30pm Simon is a 2nd Generation Photographer who has Photography in his veins. He has had a life time of experience both professionally and recreationally, and in a number of different areas of the art and craft.
This is not black and white. This workshop is about bold, beautiful, primary colours, and how recognising and using these colours can positively impact your composition.
Bring your camera, be prepared to have fun, have your eyes opened, and understand a different, but more colourful perspective. Oh, and if you'd like to wear, or bring something along of bold primary colour, just to add to the challenge and character of it all please don't hesitate to do so!
These two presentations are by registration only at $20 for the afternoon (afternoon tea provided). We will need you to register if you wish to attend.
